Marlene McKinnon was a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Rubeus Hagrid named her family among the best wizards of their age, noting that they had been murdered during the First War (PS5). Alastor Moody mentioned that McKinnon had been assassinated two weeks after the picture that he showed to Harry Potter was taken (OP9).
