Mark Evans is a ten-year-old boy beaten up by Dudley Dursley's gang (OP1).

Fandom speculation

Soon after the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, several fans noticed the suspicious mention to someone who shared Lily Potter and Petunia Dursley's maiden name. This led to a predictably incredible amount of speculation and wild theories regarding who this Mark Evans could be, and what his role in the series would grow into.

To many fans' disappointment, J. K. Rowling put an end to the debate via her website: Mark Evans is quite simply no one (JKRW).
