Hector Dagworth-Granger is the founder of the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers.

Horace Slughorn asks Hermione Granger if she is related to Dagworth-Granger after she impresses him with her knowledge of potions during her first NEWT-level Potions class; she replies in the negative (HBP9).

Albus Dumbledore quotes Dagworth-Granger in his comments on The Tales of Beedle the Bard on the subject of Love Potions: "Powerful infatuations can be induced by the skillful potioneer, but never yet has anyone managed to create the truly unbreakable, eternal, unconditional attachment that alone can be called Love." (BB3).
