Fabian Prewett was the brother of Molly and Gideon Prewett. According to Molly, he was not very careful with his possessions. She gave Harry a golden watch—dented on the back—that belonged to Fabian on Harry's seventeenth birthday (DH7, DHE).

Fabian was killed in the First War along with his brother; it took five Death Eaters to do the job, one of which was Antonin Dolohov (OP25). According to Moody, the two brothers "fought like heroes" (OP9).

Hagrid said that the Prewetts were among the best wizards of their time (PS4).
