Everard was a Hogwarts Headmaster. He was a sallow-faced wizard with black hair and bangs (HBP29) Dumbledore mentioned him and Dilys Derwent as two of the school's most acclaimed Heads. He has a portrait hanging somewhere in the Ministry of Magic. When Arthur Weasley was bitten by Nagini in the Department of Mysteries, Everard shouted until a watchwizard came and found Arthur (OP22).

After Dumbledore's death, Everard informed Minerva McGonagall that Rufus Scrimgeour had just Disapparated from the Ministry and was on his way to Hogwarts (HBP29).
