Ernie Macmillan is a Hogwarts student Sorted into Hufflepuff in Harry Potter's year.
In second year, Ernie believed Harry to be the heir of Salazar Slytherin because the boy had supposedly ordered a snake to attack Ernie's friend Justin Finch-Fletchley.
When the Daily Prophet began its smearing campaign against Albus Dumbledore and Harry, Ernie stated that he and his family would always take the side of Dumbledore (OP13).
