Enid is Neville Longbottom's great-aunt. When Algie hung eight-year-old out the window, holding him by the ankles, Enid offered Algie some meringues; he got distracted, and accidentally let go of Neville, who bounced off the ground. This incident revealed that the boy was not a Squib, and the family was overjoyed (PS7).
