Emeric the Evil was one of the possessors of the Elder Wand. He was murdered by Egbert the Egregious, who took the wand from him.

Professor Binns mentions Emeric the Evil in first-year History of Magic classes. Drowsy students often confuse the wizard with Uric the Oddball (PS8).
