Cliodne (also called "Cliodna") was a medieval Celtic druidess from Ireland. She was a sea bird Animagus whose favourite hobby was flying, and was said to possess three magical birds who cured the sick. According to legends, she could also turn into a wave. Cliodne was responsible for the discovery of the properties of moondew (FW).

The Chocolate Frog card depicting Cliodne is one of the first that Harry Potter adds to his collection on the train ride to Hogwarts on September 1, 1991. The boy stares at Cliodne—who is busy scratching her nose—for a while, until he is distracted by Ron Weasley's introduction of Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans (PS6).
