Character:Alecto Carrow

Alecto Carrow is a Death Eater who participated in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower along with her brother, Amycus (HBP27). The two siblings were never sent to Azkaban for their allegiance to Lord Voldemort after the First War (HBP2).
After the fall of the Ministry, Alecto and her brother became teachers at Hogwarts, where they were responsible for disciplining students who opposed the new regime. Alecto taught Muggle Studies; her lessons, which were compulsory for the whole student body, focused on the natural inferiority if Muggles to wizards (DH12, DH29).
