London is the capital of the United Kingdom. It is England's largest urban area and Europe's second-most populous city. Today, London includes both the historic City of London and the metropolis that sprang up around the centre of business, culture, and finance; this Greater London has its own local government (WP).

London is the heart of England's wizarding world, housing such places as Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic, St. Mungo's, King's Cross and Grimmauld Place.
