Badfic

Badfic is any type of story that abuses basic laws of grammar, punctuation, and spelling to an extreme level. They also employ heavy use of cliché or overused plot devices and dialogue. The characters used in badfic are Mary Sues or their male counterpart, Gary Stu.
FanFiction.net is considered to be the home of badfic.

Mocking Badfic
Many attempts have been made to replicate badfic, but Grammar Nazis tend to have a better time at mocking them and their sockpuppets. Suethors usually do not appreciate being made fun of, and they will sometimes crash the party or write about the "trauma" of the experience in their blogs or profiles.
Reading Badfic
Sometimes it is hard for a reader to tear his or her eyes from badfic, much like it is oftentimes hard for a witness to tear his or her eyes from a train wreck (urban: Schaudenfreude). Despite the atrocious grammar, characters, and plotlines, it is sometimes fun to read a story that is utterly predictible. Sometimes.
