Goats
From UnknowableWiki
Aberforth Dumbledore has a curious connection to goats. His Patronus is a goat (DH28). As a child, he keeps goats at Godric's Hollow; his sister Ariana helps him care for them (DH28). According to Aberforth's brother, Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth's favorite story when he was a child was Grumble the Grubby Goat. Enid Smeek, another resident of Godric's Hollow, claims that Aberforth used to throw goat dung at her (DH18).
In 1982, Aberforth is convicted by the Wizengamot for performing an illegal spell on a goat (DH2). According to his brother Albus, the trial receives a lot of media attention, but Aberforth ignores it (GF24).
In 1995, Harry Potter notices that Aberforth's pub, the Hog's Head, smells of goats (OP16).
When the Trio comes to Hogsmeade in 1998, Harry has to conjure a Patronus to protect them from a group of Dementors. Death Eaters see the silver stag, but before they can catch the Trio, Aberforth hides them in his pub and claims that they saw his own goat Patronus, not a stag. He summons another Patronus to prove his point (DH28).
Due to the number of allusions to Aberforth's interest in goats, Aberforth/Goat has become a fanon ship.
